RISE is led by two professionals who have a combined 40-year record of outstanding achievement in talent management and development.  RISE co-founders, Alamelu Dev and Grace Roache, first met in Washington, D.C. in 2005.  Their friendship and professional collaboration has been sustained by a shared passion for empowering people and improving performance.  RISE also uses an eco-system of partners to support their clients.

Grace Roache

Grace has over 20 years experience in talent management and organizational development encompassing diverse industries in the not-for-profit, public, and private sectors. As an HR executive, Grace has supported employees globally, and has lived and worked on three continents. She embraces diversity, and has led many successful change initiatives.

Grace also led the HR function at PSI for close to a decade. She provided the vision and counsel which steered the organization through a period of accelerated growth (from $300M to $650M), including the establishment of an effective talent management program.

Grace recently completed an MSc in Psychology, has an MA in Social Research and is certified in numerous psychometric assessment tools. Grace is passionate not only about building emotional resilience but also physical endurance. While living in Washington D.C., she ran the Marine Corp Marathon and a recent challenge involved climbing a 3,700 meter volcano in Indonesia. Grace currently lives in Singapore.

lamelu Dev

Alamelu is an organizational development and human resources professional with over 18 years of experience in partnering with organizational leaders to address their talent needs. An innovative problem solver, Alamelu harnesses the strengths of collaborators and stakeholders to achieve positive business results

Over the last decade Alamelu has held senior management roles in HR & talent development and successfully developed organizational capacity both at headquarters and at country offices of PSI and FINCA across Africa, Latin America and Asia during a time of significant change and growth (50 to 100% growth in revenue). Prior to her roles in international development, Alamelu worked as a strategic HR consultant in India supporting clients in the FMCG and technology sector harness growth and manage change.

Alamelu is passionate about leveling the playing field of work and empowering people to be their best self. She is a certified HeartMath® trainer on building emotional resilience and a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® facilitator. She also holds an MBA in Human Resources & Information systems. Alamelu has traveled extensively across Africa and Asia for work and currently lives in the suburbs of Washington D.C.
